January Day 1 2014

January 2014 Day 1
I woke up bright and early this beautiful Wednesday morning....was a little dreary out....but geez, first day of the year...I am ready to get going! Last night  started working on my New Years Resolutions so I worked on those till almost noon, then I wanted to get Christmas stuff put away, go out to the Pizza Factory
building, get it ready to be sold, go see Sherree, talk to her about Dilyn Design for the next year...plus I wanted to take Rusty for a good walk. So of course I started with the walk first. What a beautiful walk we had. Headed out to the school. Nothing like a winter sun on a January afternoon.
I am going to try to keep my pictures up monthly this year and write about them. As we got closer to home the snow started blowing and it was getting colder and colder, but it was still so beautiful out!!! I just loved it!
Was starting to get late soooo....
I took a few more pictures, ran in the
house, got my coat, keys, hat, gloves and the "list in my head". Knew if I didn't hustle I would not get everything done!

Well long story short...."Haste makes waste!!" I came out of the house, snapped this picture of our steps in the snow, hurried down the path to the garage...and I found the ice...then the hard hard steps and ground...yup, broke my right arm, right below the shoulder. Found that out a couple hours later at the Wray Hospital ER. No surgery, but it looks like I will be getting some rest for the first 4 to 6 weeks of 2014. Well I knew I needed a break...this isn't what I had in mind, but I am so thankful that I didn't get hurt any worse than I did. I am sure this experience will give me many, many things to be thankful for.      Welcome 2014!

Day 31 - Blessed by Memories

40 years of Memories on this 31st Day of Blessings in December.

Took a walk with Rusty last evening since it was so beautiful out....and it was the last time I could walk down the path in 2013 :)

Anyone who lives in Wray and surrounds is aware of the lighted Christmas tree on the hill...It's not only the sign of the holiday, but the sign that Wray...down in the valley....is quickly approaching.
The tree is one of my first memories of Wray, when we arrived as the new owners of the Wray Bakery's kids.
That first Christmas was so hard for a 13 year old girl that thought her world had collapsed...but 40 years later and more beautiful blessed Christmas than hard ones; this little girls is so grateful
for the many precious years I have spent in this little valley town
and all the years I have experienced on
Wray's Main Street
either selling donuts,
or flowers,
or diamonds...

It's a wonderful life....most of the time :)
Come on in 2014...I think I am ready.

Day 29 & 30 - Blessed with beautiful weather!!!

Days 29 and 30 of December 2013 are sun shining and beautiful...Puts me in good shape to have a great attitude for going into the new year..found a cool new blog I think I'm going to follow...Serendipity? Maybe.
